For a very long time now, video conferencing has been an integral part of most corporates and Custom Enterprise Software Development companies. People all across the world sign up for a meet on online platforms that make their business acquire the required expertise at any point in time for projects.

That being said, it often occurs that certain technologies come to rescue in unforeseen situations. Just like in the case of the current COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic that is widespread, forcing people all across the world to avoid physical contact with the outside world. This situation has brought along its own set of pros and cons. Looking at only the brighter side, people are on the look of newer and better ways to connect with each other for both personal and professional reasons.

Thus, Video calling apps and video conferencing platforms have received a great response, and every day more and more active users are observed.

About the Google Meet Announcement:

Google has always been an ace player in whatever technology, feature, or apps they bring on the digital plate of users. Google Meet users video conferencing platform has been serving many suite customers for both business and education users. The Coronavirus pandemic created a big market for the video calling platform and although Google meet is capable to arrange the meet call for up to 100 people, it received tough competition from the “Zoom app”. This is so because the Zoom app was available absolutely free to all users without restrictions.

The Zoom app also claimed to be going from 10 million DAU in December, to 200 million right now. Even though Google Meet had advanced features, it was not keeping up as it was paid and available to its G-suite users. Google obviously cannot afford and does not want to lose the potential market and therefore made the announcement to make the platform available for any user with an email i.d. It is not compulsory to have a Google account.

The part where the Zoom app miserably seems to be struggling with is the “privacy” and “security” breach. Even though it’s doing great and garnering attention worldwide, the revelation and warning by the FBI about the security risks have raised a possibility for Google Meet to strike back.

The Best Google Meet Features

Google Meet is an integral part of its Suite essentials. With the recent announcement, Google Meet has been made available to public with all its full-fledged features that are otherwise available.

Google Meet is available for conferencing of up to 100 people at a time for the time limit of 60 minutes and even longer. Google offers this premium product with all the amazing features like simple scheduling and screen sharing, real-time captions and layouts that adapt to your preference including an expanded tiled view.

In Conclusion:

So far, Google has assured to make free google Meet enabled for all its audience up to September 30. It will hopefully work in favour of the company and avail users of great screen sharing in real-time experience.
